About Us
Peter Robertshaw Consultancy was founded to support and strengthen the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector through effective, modern volunteer management and development.
The consultancy is led by Peter David Robertshaw-Corbett, whose journey in volunteering began in 2003 at the age of 11 as a Junior Volunteer. What started as a passion for helping others developed into a lifelong commitment to volunteering, leadership, and sector development. In 2017,
Peter became a charity founder, bringing years of frontline and strategic experience together to create meaningful change. With over two decades of hands-on experience, Peter Robertshaw Consultancy specialises in Volunteer Management and Development, helping organisations recruit, retain, support, and empower volunteers in a rapidly changing environment.
The consultancy combines practical experience with strategic insight to deliver solutions that are realistic, sustainable, and tailored to each organisation.
Peter is also the author of the forthcoming book Volunteer Management in the 21st Century, which explores the future of volunteering and the evolving challenges and opportunities facing the sector today.
At the heart of the consultancy is a simple belief:
strong volunteer management creates stronger organisations and stronger communities.
Peter Robertshaw Consultancy works with charities, community groups, social enterprises, and public sector partners to build resilient volunteer programmes and support long-term impact across the VCFSE sector.
